The User area contains Settings, Keys, and Docs. Organization membership and shared computers have their own Organizations guide.

Profile and connected accounts#

Settings includes your name, email, GitHub connection, Bittensor wallet, mining controls, password, authentication state, and account status.

Connect GitHub and a Bittensor wallet before enabling mining where it is available. See Bittensor Wallet for the wallet signature flow and account-selection limitations.

Only use controls actually available to your account. Settings does not currently provide notification preferences.

Password and two-factor authentication#

Use the password control to change your password. Sensitive actions can require recent authentication or another verification step.

The current two-factor flow uses an authenticator app (TOTP) and backup codes. Save backup codes securely before relying on the authenticator. SMS is not an available second-factor option in these settings.

API credentials#

Open Keys to create or terminate programmatic credentials. Copy a new secret before dismissing its creation view. See API Credentials for the current controls and credential availability.

Console Chat uses your web session and does not need a separately created API credential.

Account deletion#

When deletion is enabled for your account, Settings provides a deletion flow with confirmation and any required re-authentication. Treat it as permanent loss of account access.

Deleting the account removes your ability to use its authorized computers and organization memberships. Do not assume that deleting an account immediately erases every associated record.

Do not use account deletion as a substitute for rotating an API credential. Terminate exposed credentials in Keys. If the delete control is unavailable, the account's current policy does not permit that action through this UI.
